Bishop David Mukasa Delivers Powerful Message at Sunday Service
Service Draws from Joshua 1 and Declares That Heaven’s Tag Overrides Every Earthly and Generational Label
On Sunday, 17th May 2026, during the Main Service, Bishop David Mukasa preached a powerful message to the congregation titled “Everyone Has a Tag in Life,” drawn from John 1:8. The service, filled with worship, music, and passionate declarations, saw the Bishop challenge every negative label, family pattern, and spiritual limitation that has held believers captive.
Opening Praise and Declaration
Bishop Mukasa began by acknowledging God’s preserving power, stating that “the Word of God has kept us alive,” which is why many people are still standing today. “Some of us here would be dead,” he said, “but it has been the Word of God that has kept us alive.”
He further emphasized that while society depends on medication and human wisdom, believers draw strength from “the Bread of Life,” which empowers them to face life’s challenges. “The Word of God puts us back where we belong,” he declared, regardless of what enemies or backgrounds may say.
Intercessory Prayers for Africa
Bishop Mukasa led the congregation in intense prayers for several African nations. He prayed specifically for South Africa, asking that “Almighty God, Your hand will be upon them,” and that no disaster would strike the nation. He declared, “South Africa is for Jesus” and “South Africa does not belong to the devil,” speaking peace over the country.
Prayers also extended to Uganda, Congo, Kenya, Somalia, Nigeria, Namibia, and all the people living in South Africa. The Bishop prayed for safety and protection, asking God not to allow anyone to “step in the wrong place.”
The Main Message: A Powerful Tag from Heaven
Transitioning into his sermon, Bishop Mukasa took his text from Joshua chapter 1, verses 8, 9, and 10. He introduced a powerful declaration: “There is a powerful tag on me. Heaven chose to write a tag on me.”
The Bishop explained that just as Pilate placed a sign on the cross reading, “This is the King of the Jews,” enemies also place labels on people’s lives to provoke and limit them. “You may have many people writing things on your life,” he said. According to the Bishop, these negative tags cause individuals to feel ashamed, offended, and pushed toward places they were never meant to remain.
However, the message remained clear and victorious: “Every tag on your life is becoming invalid.” God’s command, he said, is: “Be strong and courageous.”
Family Tags and Generational Patterns
Bishop Mukasa addressed deep-rooted family issues, speaking about “family tags” and “evil tags” that must be removed from the soul. He observed that families often share similar struggles. Some families repeatedly experience early deaths, failures, or limitations, while others seem trapped in cycles that continue from one generation to another.
Referring to Jacob in the book of Genesis, he gave an example of how destinies can be altered by wrong patterns and spiritual struggles. He also warned against relationships and actions involving bloodshed, explaining that such sins can bring suffering for many years.
A Declaration of Shifting
The service became deeply prophetic as Bishop Mukasa led the congregation in a declaration of transformation:
“I am shifting from that place where my enemies want me to be. Today, I am shifting from a place of lack — no car, no house, no child, no husband or wife, no land, nothing. We are shifting from a place with no peace and no life.”
He explained that when things refuse to change or move forward, it may indicate that a negative tag is affecting one’s life. “You play the game, but you never win the game,” he said. “But this is your season. This is your season to win.”
The Word of God as Protection
Drawing from Joshua 1, Bishop Mukasa taught that the Book of the Law must never depart from one’s mouth and that believers must meditate on it day and night.
“If you keep this Book in your heart, you will shine,” he said. “It will keep you from danger in the city, in your family, and in the nation.”
He warned that many people end up in dangerous situations because they fail to abide in God’s Word, instead filling their hearts with “the issues and problems of the devil.”
Divine Encouragement and Battle Promises
The Bishop delivered a strong message of encouragement, declaring: “Do not fear, because I am with you.” He reminded the congregation that God has commanded them to move forward and make progress.
“When they close one door, in this season God will open ten doors for you from heaven,” he declared.
He further proclaimed, “From today, I am joining your battle with you. You have been fighting alone.” He testified that some of the people who have helped and blessed others were actually “angels of God” sent to support them.
Altar Call and Salvation
At the conclusion of the message, Bishop Mukasa extended an altar call, inviting those who wished to give their lives to Christ to raise their hands and pray:
“You can help me. Forgive me for all the mistakes I have made. I have offended You. Today, I choose to give my life and repent before the Lord.”
He assured the repentant that God was removing burdens, shame, and the failures of the past.
Concluding Prayer and Declaration of Greatness
Bishop Mukasa concluded the service with prayers for greatness over every person present.
“From today, our names will be great, our church will be great, and our families will be great,” he prayed.
He also prayed for prosperity in business, protection from sickness, trouble, debt, and death.
The service ended with a triumphant declaration:
“Today we are stepping into greatness. We are stepping into fruitfulness, stepping into the land of achievement, and stepping into places of victory.”
